Brendan M. Peter is Vice President of Global Government Relations for CA Technologies, where he leads the company’s Washington office and directs CA Technologies’ global public policy agenda. Brendan has 20 years of government relations experience in the fields of cyber security, health care, and technology policy issues. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Information Technology Industry Council and recently completed a 2-year Chairmanship of the organization’s Cybersecurity Committee, and also serves on the Strategic Planning & Operations Committee of BSA, the Software Alliance. He is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Software.
Prior to joining CA Technologies in 2009, Brendan held Executive-level government relations positions at LexisNexis, Daon, the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA), and the Jefferson Consulting Group. He has lobbied and been engaged with global public policy issues related to identity for the past 15 years and has expertise with enterprise identity and access management, biometrics, and national identity and border management identity challenges. He has also lobbied on a broad range of transportation, health care, and government technology issues.
Brendan received a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and his master’s degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
